Love Your Enemies

Thanksgiving has come and gone. A time to be thankful. But in this time of pandemic and political strife it sometimes seems difficult to find the positive. Everyone seems to have different opinions on the best way to solve the problems. And if you disagree, you’re part of the problem.

It is at times like these that I feel grateful for advice like this:

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” -Mathew 5:44

May we remember that we are all children of God. And that most of us have each others’ best interests at heart, even when we disagree. And that even those who are not acting in good faith, and are taking advantage of the situation for personal gain, still deserve our prayers.
